Mr. Rizwan Sajan of Danube Group Honoured at Forbes Middle East

Applauding the success of exceptional Indian personalities, Forbes Middle East honoured Mr. Rizwan Sajan of Danube Group, by ranking him no. 7 among the Top 100 Indian Leaders in the UAE at a gala award ceremony held on the 25th of June, 2013 at The Oberoi Dubai, Business Bay. The list included 75 top businessman and 25 top CEOs and CFOs working for large corporations. These rankings are based on the information collated for some of the most influential Indian business leaders residing or operating in the Emirates. The awards evening was an inspirational gathering, stirring entrepreneurs to aspire to brilliance and expand their horizons by collaborating with the best in the region.

Danube Strikes Again at the Business Excellence Awards H.H.

Striking yet another milestone in the pursuit of excellence, Danube, the leading construction and home interior company has won the coveted Dubai Quality Award at the 18th Business Excellence Awards ceremony held on 29th April 2013, at the Sheikh Saeed Hall of the Dubai World Trade Centre
(DWTC).

Danube Group unveiled the Annual Cricket ‘Friendship Cup’ with Netherlands

Promoting the global culture of cricket, Danube Group staged the opening of the first ever T20 ‘Friendship Cup’ between Danube Lions, the corporate cricket team of Danube Group and Netherlands national cricket team at a press conference held at Grand Hyatt, Dubai.

Danube opens a 2nd showroom in DOHA within a year

In light of the growth of construction industry in Qatar, Danube opened another showroom in Doha in association with Dyarco. The showroom was inaugurated by Shaikh Badr Al Wahab, Partner, Dyarco, Mr. Ullatil Achu, General Manager, Dyarco and Mr. Anis Sajan, Managing Director of Danube Group.
Danube’s existing showroom generates huge traffic from the customers in the industrial areas. Accommodating the overwhelming demand of the customers in the retail area, the group opened a new commercial place to showcase its ever expanding product line. The opening of the new showroom reflects the success of its brand, while reaffirming Danube’s partnership with Dyarco which has brought both parties closer to customers and strengthened market presence in the region.
Spread across 5,000 square feet, the new showroom is situated in the heart of the city at Souq Najma (Haraj), Doha that has developed a reputation as a centre for excellence.

Danube opens Welfare Center for blue-collared workers

H.E. Khaled Al Kamda, Director General, Community Development Authority, Dubai opened Danube Welfare Centre (DWC) in Karama, a free training centre for the blue-collared workers in Dubai. Also present at the opening were Dr. Omar Al Muthanna, Chief Executive Officer, Regulatory & Licensing Department, Community Development Authority, Dubai; Mrs. Saher Shaikh Founder of Adopt-ACamp;
Mr. Rajesh Duggal, Indian Consulate, Labour Affairs; Mr. Kirti Chakma, Bangladesh Consulate; Mr. Amjad Khan Omar, Sri Lankan Consulate, Labor Welfare and higher officials from Dubai Cares.

Danube’s social initiative will address the challenges faced by blue-collared workers in UAE. The Center provides formal training and assistance to skilled and unskilled labourers qualifying them to meet the demands of the labour market and enables them to climb the corporate ladder.

The primary objective in establishing this center is to provide official training for these workers and make a difference in their lives. As an organization, Danube has always been committed to making a positive difference to the society. With the launch of the Welfare Centre, every individual will have an opportunity to obtain a meaningful employment and achieve maximum potential.

Danube extends its presence in the African Region

Keeping pace with Dubai based business house, Danube Group has spread its wings to the African region of Kenya and Libya with the opening of its new showrooms. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, the showroom in Kenya is situated at Nairobi spreading across 20,000 square feet. Similarly,
the franchise outlet of Danube in Libya is located in Benghazi and is spread across 35,000 square feet. Both the showrooms showcase an extensive collection of products including sanitary ware, ceramic tiles, parquet flooring, MDF, chandeliers, garden furniture, timber, steel, hardware etc. Danube also
foresees expansion in other areas of Africa such as Ethiopia and Tunisia.

Danube’s commitment to the construction and building materials market is underlined by its expansion, which is aimed at addressing the needs of the customers across the region. With several construction projects currently under way and planned projects, there was an obvious demand for building materials
in Africa which has helped Danube to expand and consolidate its market presence in the region.
The first half of this year already saw the opening of three new Danube showrooms in key locations including Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain. To keep pace with the emerging market trends, Danube recently opened another showroom in Doha and the group will continue to open more outlets
and create a stronger market presence not only in the Middle East but also across the globe. The company plans to open 20 new showrooms by next year across UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Africa. The increased demand for our products coupled with our expansion has resulted in the company
growing its workforce since its inception to 2,000 employees.

Danube Metro Station opens its doors to Public

The whole of UAE braced to witness the opening of Danube Metro Station earlier known as Jebel Ali Industrial Station on 12.12.12. Danube Group is the first expatriate entity to join hands with Dubai Metro’s Naming Rights Project launched by the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), securing naming rights for the Jebel Ali Industrial Station which is now renamed as Danube.
H. E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA issued the first set of tickets to H.E. Eng. Sultan Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy, UAE; Ms. Salma Ali Saif Bin Hareb, CEO of JAFZA; Mr. Ebrahim Al Janahi, Deputy CEO of JAFZA and Mr. Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group, the official inauguration of the Metro Station commenced. The event also

Danube Buildmart reinforces its presence in Al Ain with another showroom

Reinforcing its growing market leadership, Danube unveiled its new buildmart showroom in Al Ain Mall mid this year.
Spread across 15,000 square feet, the new showroom in Al Ain Mall was inaugurated by H.E. Mohammad Saif Al Khyeli, Director of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Al Ain branch). The retail unit showcases the latest collection of items from a host of reputed international and regional vendors under a single roof which include kitchen setup options, chandeliers, wall paper collections, curtains, carpets, luxury sanitary ware, venetian blinds, wooden flooring, garden accessories, home décor and soft furnishings such as quilts, mattresses, towels and pillow covers among others.

Jebel Ali Industrial Metro Station to be DANUBE STATION

Danube Group, the leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries has joined Dubai Metro’s corporate bandwagon reinforcing its presence in the UAE. Under the second phase of Dubai Metro Naming Rights Project launched by the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), the Jebel Ali Industrial Station, which is the second station from Jebel Ali soon to open to the public, will be named Danube Station.
The partnership, which is expected to run into billions, was announced in early November 2012 at the RTA head office in the presence of top RTA officials as well as Mr.Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group.
