Danube opens Welfare Center for blue-collared workers

H.E. Khaled Al Kamda, Director General, Community Development Authority, Dubai opened Danube Welfare Centre (DWC) in Karama, a free training centre for the blue-collared workers in Dubai. Also present at the opening were Dr. Omar Al Muthanna, Chief Executive Officer, Regulatory & Licensing Department, Community Development Authority, Dubai; Mrs. Saher Shaikh Founder of Adopt-ACamp;
Mr. Rajesh Duggal, Indian Consulate, Labour Affairs; Mr. Kirti Chakma, Bangladesh Consulate; Mr. Amjad Khan Omar, Sri Lankan Consulate, Labor Welfare and higher officials from Dubai Cares.

Danube’s social initiative will address the challenges faced by blue-collared workers in UAE. The Center provides formal training and assistance to skilled and unskilled labourers qualifying them to meet the demands of the labour market and enables them to climb the corporate ladder.

The primary objective in establishing this center is to provide official training for these workers and make a difference in their lives. As an organization, Danube has always been committed to making a positive difference to the society. With the launch of the Welfare Centre, every individual will have an opportunity to obtain a meaningful employment and achieve maximum potential.
