Danube Honoured at Mohamed Bin Saud Award For SME Enterprises 2013

Buildmart RAK, Danube’s state-of-the-art retail complex in Ras Al Khaimah was awarded for the “Best Trading Enterprise” category of the H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Saud Award for SME Enterprises 2013.

The prestigious award was presented to Danube Group’s Managing Director, Mr. Anis Sajan at a glittering award ceremony. The event was graced by H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Humaid Bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Ruler’s office, H.E. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah, Mr. Ahmed Obaid Al H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi Chairman of RAK Ruler’s office presenting the H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Saud Award For Small and Medium Economic Enterprises to Mr. Anis Sajan, Managing Director & Mr. Thamimul Hussain, Group General Manager – Danube Building Materials FZCO Mr. Anis Sajan With the RAK Buildmart Team at the Award Ceremony Tunaiji, DED’s Acting General Director and the committee members of the Award.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anis Sajan, Danube Group’s Managing Director, said, “I would like to thank His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah who patronised the setting up of this award and the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah for their role in catalysing and boosting the role of the Small and Medium Enterprises in the Manufacturing, Trading and Services sectors in Ras Al Khaimah. The awards were presented across varied categories including; Best Manufacturing Enterprises, Best Trading Enterprises, Best Services Enterprises, in addition to Saud Bin Saqr Program for Young Business Leaders.

Danube Pioneers Test Series in the UAE Danube

Danube has taken the initiative of introducing Test Series Cricket in the UAE, the first of its kind in the country. The series, initiated by Mr. Anis Sajan, was held on the ICC Global Cricket Academy grounds. This series will provide an opportunity for young cricketers from UAE to be more familiar with the T20 format to improve on their endurance. Since, the UAE team has qualified for the 2015 World Cup. There is an immense support for the test series from the UAE government. Therefore, this two day Test Series will be a challenge that the cricketers will have to face and conquer.

Danube Group Launches Three Showrooms in Saudi Arabia

The Expo 2020 is trickling its positive implications not only in the UAE, but also across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In lieu of the same, Danube, the leading construction and home interior company in the UAE announced the opening of 3 new showrooms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) reflecting the buoyant construction  and building material industry in the GCC and MENA region.

The newly opened showrooms in KSA are located at Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam. The North Jeddah showroom’s area is 6,000 sq. meters and mainly stocks Rebar, Plywood, Ceramic Tiles and Sanitary Fittings. The showroom at Exit B5 on King Abdul Aziz Street in Riyadh is 3,000 sq. meters in area, and its products in focus are similar to the ones offered at the Jeddah showroom. In addition to these products, the showroom in Khudriya at Dammam spread across 6,000 sq. meters also stocks Timber and MDF. “The construction sector in Saudi Arabia and in other countries of the region is witnessing a rapid development, implying that the region has a huge potential for big investment.
In general, most of the countries in the GCC and the MENA region are growing, indicating healthy business outcomes,” commented Mr. Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group while making
the announcement.

Danube has grown from a small trading firm to one of the largest building materials company in the region. Today the company has its presence across UAE, Bahrain, Muscat, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kenya, Libya, India and China.

The construction sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has maintained positive growth as a result of extensive investment in the construction industry.

Danube Diplomats Cup 2013

Sports diplomacy has emerged as an integral part in building and strengthening the ambassadorial relationship between various nations. In line with the same, Danube Group, hosted a Diplomat’s Meet on
8th March 2013 at Indoor Turf Insportz, Al Quoz, UAE.
The Diplomat’s Cup was the union of eight embassies into one, featuring India, Pakistan, Bangladesh,
Sri Lanka, England, Australia, Afghanistan and South Africa.The meet featured diplomats, ambassadors,
officials and staff from various embassies who enjoyed a fun-filled day of networking, international
culture, sumptuous food, and tons of high-end prizes and goodies. The main objective of the event was to bring the various expat communities closer to each other and
promote peace and harmony.

Seeing the huge response for the first Danube Diplomat’s Cup, Mr. Anis Sajan Managing Director of
Danube Group announced that this would be an annual event and thanked all the Consuls for their
participation. Mr. Anis Sajan who initiated the first Danube Diplomat’s Cup further added that the event
is a unique way to extend support to various expat groups and bring them closer to their country of origin.

Danube Group Reinforces its Presence in Saudi Arabia with a Brand New Facility in Mecca

Danube Group, the leading construction and home interior company in the UAE, recently
announced the official opening of its new showroom in Mecca. The showroom was inaugurated by Eng. Ali Al Shahri, on behalf of Dr. Osama Fadl Al Bar Head of Baladiya, Mecca Region in the presence of Mr. Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group and other officials from the management.

Located on the main high way of Mecca-Taif, Al Saraya Street, the new facility of the Danube Group is spread across 30,000 square feet with an independent warehouse and a well-designed showroom. With the launch of the new facility in Mecca, the customers will now be able to view the extensive range of products in a convenient location. This new showroom is in addition to the 2 already existing Danube showrooms which are located at Bawadi in Jeddah.
