2013 organized by the Dubai Quality Group on the 29th of September 2013. The conference was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum (Chairman, Dubai Airports;
President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority; Chairman and CEO, Emirates Group and patron, Dubai Quality Group). The conference was intended as a platform to understand and share the best practices employed by the winners of the Dubai Quality Award, Dubai Human Development Award
and Dubai Service Excellence Scheme. Mr. Akhil Jain, Finance Head of the Danube Group was presented with a token of appreciation at the conference.

The construction sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has maintained positive growth as a result of extensive investment in the construction industry.
The construction industry in the Kingdom is driven by various factors. One of the major
drivers is the annual Hajj pilgrimage. More than half a million pilgrims visit the holy city
of Mecca every year leading to an increase in transport and accommodation requirements.
Housing demand is another key driver of the Kingdom’s growth. The construction of
a quarter million units is already underway.

This rapid expansion has fueled great interest in the Saudi Arabian market from foreign
investors and construction giants.

Sports diplomacy has emerged as an integral part in building and strengthening the ambassadorial relationship between various nations. In line with the same, Danube Group, hosted a Diplomat’s Meet on
8th March 2013 at Indoor Turf Insportz, Al Quoz, UAE.
The Diplomat’s Cup was the union of eight embassies into one, featuring India, Pakistan, Bangladesh,
Sri Lanka, England, Australia, Afghanistan and South Africa.The meet featured diplomats, ambassadors,
officials and staff from various embassies who enjoyed a fun-filled day of networking, international
culture, sumptuous food, and tons of high-end prizes and goodies. The main objective of the event was to bring the various expat communities closer to each other and
promote peace and harmony.

Seeing the huge response for the first Danube Diplomat’s Cup, Mr. Anis Sajan Managing Director of
Danube Group announced that this would be an annual event and thanked all the Consuls for their
participation. Mr. Anis Sajan who initiated the first Danube Diplomat’s Cup further added that the event
is a unique way to extend support to various expat groups and bring them closer to their country of origin.

Danube Group, the leading construction and home interior company in the UAE, recently
announced the official opening of its new showroom in Mecca. The showroom was inaugurated by Eng. Ali Al Shahri, on behalf of Dr. Osama Fadl Al Bar Head of Baladiya, Mecca Region in the presence of Mr. Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group and other officials from the management.

Located on the main high way of Mecca-Taif, Al Saraya Street, the new facility of the Danube Group is spread across 30,000 square feet with an independent warehouse and a well-designed showroom. With the launch of the new facility in Mecca, the customers will now be able to view the extensive range of products in a convenient location. This new showroom is in addition to the 2 already existing Danube showrooms which are located at Bawadi in Jeddah.

Promoting the global culture of cricket, Danube Group staged the opening of the first ever T20 ‘Friendship Cup’ between Danube Lions, the corporate cricket team of Danube Group and Netherlands national cricket team at a press conference held at Grand Hyatt, Dubai.
The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group, Mr. Anis Sajan, Managing Director of Danube Group and Founder of Danube Lions, Mr. Adel Sajan, Director

In light of the growth of construction industry in Qatar, Danube opened another showroom in Doha in association with Dyarco. The showroom was inaugurated by Shaikh Badr Al Wahab, Partner, Dyarco, Mr. Ullatil Achu, General Manager, Dyarco and Mr. Anis Sajan, Managing Director of Danube Group.
Danube’s existing showroom generates huge traffic from the customers in the industrial areas. Accommodating the overwhelming demand of the customers in the retail area, the group opened a new commercial place to showcase its ever expanding product line. The opening of the new showroom reflects the success of its brand, while reaffirming Danube’s partnership with Dyarco which has brought both parties closer to customers and strengthened market presence in the region.
Spread across 5,000 square feet, the new showroom is situated in the heart of the city at Souq Najma (Haraj), Doha that has developed a reputation as a centre for excellence.

H.E. Khaled Al Kamda, Director General, Community Development Authority, Dubai opened Danube Welfare Centre (DWC) in Karama, a free training centre for the blue-collared workers in Dubai. Also present at the opening were Dr. Omar Al Muthanna, Chief Executive Officer, Regulatory & Licensing Department, Community Development Authority, Dubai; Mrs. Saher Shaikh Founder of Adopt-ACamp;
Mr. Rajesh Duggal, Indian Consulate, Labour Affairs; Mr. Kirti Chakma, Bangladesh Consulate; Mr. Amjad Khan Omar, Sri Lankan Consulate, Labor Welfare and higher officials from Dubai Cares.

Danube’s social initiative will address the challenges faced by blue-collared workers in UAE. The Center provides formal training and assistance to skilled and unskilled labourers qualifying them to meet the demands of the labour market and enables them to climb the corporate ladder.

The primary objective in establishing this center is to provide official training for these workers and make a difference in their lives. As an organization, Danube has always been committed to making a positive difference to the society. With the launch of the Welfare Centre, every individual will have an opportunity to obtain a meaningful employment and achieve maximum potential.
