ALUCOPANEL USA RECIEVES DUBAI CIVIL DEFENCE APPROVAL

Continued growth in high rise construction in UAE, coupled with a spate of recent disastrous building fires such as 86-storey Dubai Marina Torch Residential Tower fire in Feb 2015, 34-storey Tamweel Tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, 40-storey Al Tayer Tower in Sharjah and Khalidiya building in Abu Dhabi forced hundreds of residents left homeless.

As a result of these fire incidents, regulations were enacted banning the use of non-fire retardant composite panels of the type that contributed to immolation of several buildings. The Dubai Civil Defense Authorities have done an excellent job in ensuring the Safety of Buildings and the General Public by including world class regulations as Standard norm for building constructions in Dubai.

The UAE updated its Fire and Life Safety Code in 2013 to require that exterior cladding is fire-retardant on all new buildings over 15 meters tall and the latest UAE fire-safety codes are much more stringent than before. Considering new regulations, the 3mm thick core material of Alucopanel USA has been successfully tested & achieved Class A, fire testing were done in an accredited lab in UAE , the test reports were assessed and the production process is certified by a 3rd party certification body . After sufficient proof that the materials being produced are with strict quality measures ensuring consistent quality and meeting the minimum standard requirements, Dubai Civil Defense has approved the product recently.

It has been proved that core of Alucopanel USA is a safe due to its excellent feature to restrain the flammability and not to discharge poisonous gases and doesn›t drip due to fire and becomes powder which does not allow fire to spread and that gives maximum time to escape and help to save life & property from fire, say the product designers. Alucopanel DCD approval underlines the contribution that it can make to improve fire safety in all types of buildings as it is approved brand of Aluminum Composite Panels with installed production capacity of 1.5 million square meters per annum, the factory is registered in Dubai as Alucopanel Middle East LLC which is the member of Danube Group “No.1 building material company”.
